Disneyland Railroad, Fantasmic, Mark Twain, Columbia Open Again at Disneyland
Rivers of America at Disneyland has come back to life after a year of relative quiet. Fantasmic 2.0 has reopened along with the Mark Twain, The Sailing Ship Columbia, and the Disneyland Railroad!
Disney has also added a new guided tour experience at Disneyland called The Grand Circle Tour. Which, according to WDWInfo “will showcase Walt Disney’s love for trains and even allow guests to climb aboard Disneyland’s VIP car, the Lilly Belle. The tour will also educate guests on the important role that trains play at Disney Parks.”
‘Minnie Vans’ Officially Open At Walt Disney World
The new “Uber-like” van service at Walt Disney World, and we’ll now have to stop calling it “Uber-like” because the service, as was rumored, is actually being managed through the Lyft app.
WDWNT notes that, “the service is still not available to everyone, but guests staying at Disney’s Yacht, Beach Club, and Boardwalk Resorts can obtain access from the front desk. The Minnie Vans will not show up as an option in the Lyft app unless a cast member has activated them for you, which they will only do if you are staying at one of these three resorts. Once the service is determined to be a success, Disney will roll out more vehicles and expand access beyond this limited window.”
Walt Disney World Offering Incentives For New Hires
From time to time Disney offers incentives to fill in-demand roles at Walt Disney World, and now might be a good time to apply if you’re looking for work. The Orlando Sentinel reports, “The company recently increased its signing bonus from $500 to $1,000 or $1,500 for new full-time and part-time employees in the culinary department, according to Disney.
Disney is also paying $500 for new housekeepers and bus drivers who get part-time or full-time work with the company, which is the country’s largest single-site employer.”
Two Epcot Locations Added To Mobile Ordering Service
The mobile ordering service at Walt Disney World is expanding rapidly with two new locations coming online, this time at Epcot. WDWNT reports, “Electric Umbrella quietly began the service on August 1st, while the Liberty Inn will join on August 7th, 2017.
The service is already offered at Tomorrowland Terrace, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, Pinocchio Village Haus, and Columbia Harbour House at the Magic Kingdom, Flame Tree Barbecue, Pizzafari, Restaurtantosaurus, and Satuli Canteen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as well as D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs.”
Slinky Dog Coaster Track Completed At Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Star Wars Episode IX Script Being Re-Written By Harry Potter Playwright!
This is just a weird one, but the playwright who wrote Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has been hired to handle a rewrite of the Star Wars Episode IX script. No word on why. When worlds collide!
Possible Walt Disney World Club 33 Locations
Construction walls up in two Walt Disney World theme parks are leading to speculation about the locations of two of the 4 new Club 33 locations inside the Orlando parks. As we speculated on our last Walt Disney World trip, it appears that Epcot’s Club 33 will be located in the old Chase cardholder lounge above the American Adventure pavilion. As for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the old catwalk bar appears to be the location.
No official confirmation from Disney yet.
