Ratatouille Prominently Featured On 2017 Food & Wine Artwork

image1It’s almost Food and Wine time, and in what may be a nod to Epcot’s rumored upcoming attraction, Ratatouille is featured prominently on this year’s Epcot International Food and Wine Festival logo.

WDWNT reports that several new booths have been added this year including; Avocados of Mexico, Cheese – Hosted by Boursin, Beer, Flavored by Fire, Active Eats, and Spain. Of course, we are hearing a rumor that a Spain pavilion may be announced soon…perhaps this is a test run?

Pirates Auction Scene Changes

Disney has announced that all of the “wench auction” scene in the Anaheim, Paris, and Orlando versions of Pirates of the Caribbean will be changing. The change, seen largely as a chance to make the attraction a bit more politically correct, will see the iconic “red head” become a pirate assisting with an auction of goods, rather than women.

Siemens Ends Sponsorship Deal With Disney

Siemens, the long time sponsor of Epcot’s Spaceship Earth, and Illuminations nighttime spectacular, as well as ‘it’s a small world’ at the Magic Kingdom has announced the end of their sponsorship deal with Disney Parks. The Orlando Sentinel released a statement from Disney that said in part, “We appreciate their collaboration in helping create unforgettable memories for our guests at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort over the last 12 years.”

Disney would not say whether they plan to seek a new sponsor or comment on the futures of IllumiNations or Spaceship Earth once the sponsorship ends this year.”

Brazil Coming To World Showcase

We have been hearing rumblings of this for months now, but it looks now to be all but confirmed. Brazil is headed to World Showcase at Walt Disney World’s Epcot. WDWNT reports that the new pavilion will likely be announced at this month’s D23 Expo in Anaheim. It’s reported location is the expansion pad between Germany and Italy, which has been vacant since the park opened in 1982.
