Walt wanted alcohol kept out of his parks because he feared it would attract a rowdy crowd. In fact, the only place at Walt’s original Disneyland Park where you can purchase alcohol to this day is the ultra-exclusive Club 33 in New Orleans Square.
The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World began serving alcohol when the Be Our Guest Restaurant opened in Fantasyland in 2012. Now, according to Inside The Magic four other table service locations inside the park will serve alcohol specifically themed to the restaurant.
The four food service locations are:
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant–Italian wines and beers; pairings include a Chianti Superiore with their grilled pork chop and mushroom-bean pancetta ragu and marsala reduction.
Liberty Tree Tavern—beer, cider, and domestic wines; pairings include Koziol with their New England lager and Patriot’s Platter of roast turkey, roast pork, and prime rib.
Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen–global beverage menu; pairing include riesling with their Trader Sam’s head-on shrimp.
Cinderella’s Royal Table–champagne and sparkling wine.
The limited service of alcohol is set to begin December 23rd, 2016.
